About the Position
We are looking for an educator who would like to join the team as the lead ECE onsite and help create a healthy, supportive environment that will accommodate 8 children, with ambitions to grow. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of establishing a new childcare space and provide input into the development of routines, systems and areas for the children to learn and thrive.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support children's learning and well-being
- Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest time
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
- Observe, document, and assess children's progress and behaviors
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the childcare facility
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to support program goals
- Other duties as assigned within the childcare.
Requirements
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate in BC
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Strong background in early childhood education
- A passion for outdoor learning and child development
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
